Our amazing new home, The Norwegian Epic will be anxiously awaiting your arrival at one of the busiest cruise ports in Florida, Port Canaveral. With a new home base in 2017, you will have the opportunity to check out some great sites in the Orlando area. Come to Florida a couple days early or stay after Holy Ship! and take advantage of the amazing beaches and theme parks this area offers.
Located on the Space Coast, Cape Canaveral offers many fun activities and is a great way to kick off your Holy Ship adventure. Only a one-hour drive from Orlando and minutes to the port, Cocoa Beach is where you’ll want to be if you are looking for fun in the sun.

Hit The Beach
There is nowhere better to get your base tan started than Cocoa Beach! Make sure to stroll the Cocoa Beach Pier - its boardwalk stretches 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean. Besides giving you an awesome view of the beach, it’s loaded with shops, restaurants and of course the Ron Jon Surf Shop, an iconic store that is the world's largest surf shop.
Not into the beach? No problem, Visit Kennedy Space Center where astronauts faced the challenges of space travel and conquered the moon. Take a tour and learn all about it - you can even check out the launch pads! If you're really looking for a thrill, try out the Shuttle Launch Experience.
Check out Florida Beer Co., the state’s biggest craft brewery. Enjoy an evening outside with live music at Fishlips Waterfront Bar & Grill or hit up Rusty’s Seafood & Oyster Bar and Grills Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar that also have outdoor seating and live entertainment.

Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World is Orlando’s #1 attraction. Right next door is Magic Kingdom where you can take a ride on the legendary Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Head to Epcot where you can eat and drink around the world. There's also two water parks, including the fan favorite Typhoon Lagoon, where you can spend your day enjoying a variety of pools, water slides, and lazy rivers.
Universal Orlando is another fun spot offering two theme parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Take a stroll down Diagon Alley at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter or spend the afternoon walking around MGM Studios.
Visit the amazing wonderland of ocean animals that has become one of Orlando’s favorite attractions.
Theme parks not your thing? Don’t worry, there is plenty to keep you busy in Orlando. If you have never been on an airboat ride, this is your chance to take a spin. Get up close and personal with Florida’s awesome wild life! You can also check out the Botanical Gardens, do some shopping at the Orlando International Premium Outlet, or sit down and grab a meal at one of the many diverse Orlando eateries.
Where To Stay:
Orlando is home to more than a dozen different theme parks. If you are planning to visit one prior to sailing on Holy Ship!, you may want to consider staying at an on-site hotel. The Disney hotels are super animated, full of excitement and a great way to kick off your Holy Ship adventure!
There are several perks to staying at a Disney hotel including the Magic Band, a waterproof bracelet only provided on a complimentary basis to resort guests. The Magic Band is the key to all the conveniences of your Disney vacation, giving you access to all Disney amenities. We recommend signing up for an account for a one stop shop. You will be able to book your hotel, buy your park tickets and order your Magic Band by logging into your account.

When the countdown to board the ship has finally come to an end, there are several transportation companies that will get you to Port Canaveral. If you prefer to explore on your own, you can also rent a car and utilize the parking available at Port Canaveral.
The official Disney hotels offer a free shuttle between the Orlando Airport and your resort. You can also use the complimentary bus, ferryboat and monorail transportation system that take you straight from your hotel to the theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney. Universal Orlando hotels also offer free transportation to the parks, however you are on your own for airport transportation.
